Rode my bike to my studio today.  Usually I have too much stuff, hauling back and forth from home to studio, studio to home, dreaming of things staying put, a system.  Things calming down, the river moving so that I’m not bored but…. enough of the rapids, cliffs, hidden boulders pretty please.

I bought this at Whole Foods because it was so beautiful.  I grated it into soup, has a mild lemony taste.

Also has a wonderful slight flowery fragance that catches your attention every time you walk by.  I don’t know what it actually is–vegetable? fruit? lemon family?

Getting ready, shipping, still painting AND I moved into a new studio for hypnosis and painting in Salt Lake City.

A bit hectic!

I will be in Kirkland for the beautiful, temporary gallery space, designed by the fabulous and astoundingly energetic Rebecca DeVere.  THE ART SHOP is in the heart of Kirkland, Washington, 108 Central Way.

Opening night (December 10, 5-8pm) is going to be super fun with refreshments and live music.  Then I’m the Art Star on Friday (December 11)!!!  Hoping to find that tiarra!  Bring your lunch and come on down for a picnic!

Thought the Art Shop is open through the 20th with trunk shows and Art Stars daily, I’ll be there only through the 14th.  Then head home to get ready for a show in Salt Lake City at Avenues Yoga: December 19th, 68 K Street, 5-9pm.

Starting Saturday December 15th, check my blog for movies of the gallery.  Maybe you out-of-towners might see something inspiring that we can ship to you!!!!

My first experimental pie: raspberry, blackberry and green tomato.

I must say it was fantastic!

The green tomato (we have lots in the basement ripening) added a subtle taste and wonderful texture.

I have a new obsession of becoming The Pie Queen or Shortcake Queen.  Selling a happiness combo of fresh fruit/butter/whip cream at farmer’s markets and art fairs dressed up in  a tiara and prom dress.  Career idea of the month.

I inherited 1000s of buttons from my friend.

Mostly I just look at them and run my fingers through them.

Windexing my scanner helped for two scans, then it went back to it’s bad behavior.  Also, have I mentioned that my life recently is like a sorry country western song?

My scanner is chopping the edges and tops off of paintings.  On it’s own little editting agenda.

Like the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I will seek solution to this problem first with Windex!
